Dubloon Disaster Guide Dubloon disaster is the strangest game ever made, well almost. You play a Krawk called Dorak, a greedy little thing who goes around picking up dubloons out of the water that the Pirates have left behind. The only problem is, the pirates have left behind a whole bunch of mines, and every time you pick up a dubloons the mine becomes active. However there is a good point of this, the maximum of mines there will ever be in the game is 9. You have the option of making the game work faster, the graphical options. You can take off: Picture background, Wake effects and wave effects. Taking off the Picture background and wave effect will make the game go the fastest, however taking off the Wake will slow it down a little. Its true that you will only have a blue background, but have the chance to earn higher points in the game. The dubloons that you get are: 2 Dubloon coin: 2 points 5 Dubloon coin: 5 points 10 Dubloon coin: 10 points 20 Dubloon coin: 20 points 50 Dubloon coin: 50 points 100 Dubloon coin: 100 points 200 Dubloon coin: 200 points In the game there are multiple obstacles. There are 9 mines in total that can appear, but can also re-appear if any are destroyed. But there is also a whirlpool that can suck you in if you go near it. The good part though is that it sucks in all mines aswell, but you want to get as many dubloons when this happens as these will go into the whirlpool. Dodging around the mines is a really easy job with practice. Remember that it isn't Meerca chase, so you can go in all directions if you hold those keys down, and that you can hit the edge without loosing. When trying to get out of the way of the mines, try to move to the edge, never stop dead near one of the mines as this is game over. If there is a mine over the coin then just go to the edge (corner) and wait for the mines to drift towards you. Before it gets you try to move out and grab the coin, this is the best method of doing it! When you get towards the mark of 200 the mines can become a problem because they may be starting to spread out, start to move towards them and through them if the gap is JUST big enough. The mines will destroy each other. The best method is getting them into a huge group in the middle of the game. |
