Snowmuncher Game Guide In Snowmuncher, you control Dieter (pronounced "Deeter"). The aim of the game is to collect treasures and reach the bottom of the snow block piles before the time (of one-and-a-half minutes) runs out. To control Dieter, you use the arrow keys left and right along the snow blocks. To eat away at the snow, face the snow block you want to eat, and press the spacebar. Also, when you want to move across the screen without eating, the steps you take can only be one block high at a time. When you eat a snow block, you fill Dieter's stomach by 5%, and when you eat a mud block, it takes two bites equal to 10%. Once you hit 100%, you lose one life. To empty Dieter's stomach, you must find the red "Bloat-B-Gone" bottles places between snow blocks, and walk into them. Take notice that each "Bloat-B-Gone" only empties Dieter 50% per bottle. To gain extra points, collect the green and purple gems throughout the levels. The green gems give you 100 points. The purple gems however, are 200 points, but are guarded by treacherous Snow Wurms which take away one of Dieter's lives if it hits you. Burrowing under snowblocks, and taking gems and medicines increase the hazards of blocks falling on you, but some blocks falling together crash together as a combo. Also, when an ice block with a Snow Wurm drops, it lets the Wurm loose, but reveals it's treasure. LITTLE HINTS - Type "Dieter" at anytime during the game for a little joke. - Click on Dieter's eye at the index for a staff caricature and a yodel from the game's creator. - This game comes in a nifty "Zen" mode.
